Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Dawnmind app ("Dawnmind", "the app") for iPhone and iPad handles information. It applies to the app and to this website. "We" and "us" mean Masua Kitambaa, the developer of Dawnmind, who can be contacted at the address at the end of this page.

Information we collect

None. Dawnmind does not collect, receive or transmit any personal or sensitive information about you or your device. In particular, we do not collect:

• your name, email address, phone number or any account details (the app has no sign-in);
• location, contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone data;
• device identifiers, the advertising identifier (IDFA) or IP addresses;
• usage analytics, diagnostics or crash reports.

The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software development kits (SDKs), and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information stored only on your device

To work, the app saves the following locally on your device:

• puzzle progress, results, streaks and statistics;
• your settings (sound, haptics, appearance, theme and reminder time);
• your hint balance, whether Dawnmind Pro is unlocked, and the IDs of purchase transactions the app has already credited (so a hint pack is never counted twice).

This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. iOS may include app data in your iCloud or computer backups under Apple's own terms.

In-app purchases

Dawnmind offers optional in-app purchases (Dawnmind Pro and hint packs). They are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit).

We never receive your name, Apple ID, email address or payment details. Apple tells the app, on your device only, which product was purchased so it can unlock it. This purchase information is not sent to us or to any server we control. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Network access

The app works offline. It connects to the internet only to talk to the App Store for purchases and restoring purchases. It also opens this website in your browser if you tap a Privacy Policy or Support link. Dawnmind never connects to a server operated by us.

Notifications

If you turn on the optional daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device. No push token or other identifier is created or sent anywhere. You can turn it off at any time in the app's Settings or in Settings → Notifications → Dawnmind.

Device permissions

Dawnmind does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files. The only permission it may ask for is Notifications, and only if you enable the daily reminder. It also uses haptics for optional vibration feedback, which needs no permission.

Sharing results

When you tap Share, the app hands a short text summary to the iOS share sheet: an emoji grid, your time and your streak. You choose where it goes. Dawnmind does not upload anything itself.

Data sharing and sale

We do not share, sell, rent or trade any information with third parties, because we do not collect any. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.

Data security

Because no information is transmitted to us, none is stored on our servers and there is nothing for us to secure, breach or disclose. Information on your device is protected by your device's own security, such as your passcode and iOS app sandboxing.

Data retention and deletion

We retain no data about you. Information stored by the app on your device stays there until you delete it. You can erase it at any time:

• in the app, with Settings → Reset progress (purchases are kept); or
• by deleting the app, which removes all of its data from your device.

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on request. You are still welcome to contact us with any privacy question.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act may give you rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, or to opt out of its sale. Dawnmind does not collect or sell personal data, so we hold nothing to provide, correct or delete. You keep full control of the data on your device as described above.

Children

Dawnmind is suitable for a general audience, including children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and it contains no advertising.

Website

This website is a set of static pages with no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If Dawnmind ever starts handling personal data, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before the change takes effect.
